MONTCLAIR, NJ — The Montclair Mounties continued their scorching start to the season with a commanding 4-1 win over Livingston on Thursday afternoon. Improving to 2-0 on the season, Montclair showed their depth and dominance across the board, leaving little doubt about their strength in the SEC-American division.

Singles Play: Mounties Take Control
Montclair’s Jack Levine set the tone early with a dominant 6-1, 6-4 victory in 1st singles, overwhelming his Livingston opponent with precision and power. In 2nd singles, Alfred Lowenstyn followed suit, securing another crucial point with a steady 6-2, 7-5 win, coming from 5-2 down in the second set. Helping to prove that Montclair’s singles lineup is a force to be reckoned with.

Jasper Lilienfeld completed the singles sweep with a stellar performance in 3rd singles, taking down his opponent 6-3, 6-4. His resilience and consistency throughout the match solidified Montclair’s hold on the contest.

Doubles Seal the Deal
Montclair’s first doubles team of Javier Garcia Olmo and Jake Gorlin delivered a textbook performance, cruising to a 6-1, 6-1 victory and putting the match out of reach. Their chemistry and aggressive net play left their Livingston counterparts searching for answers.

While Livingston salvaged a point with a gritty win in 2nd doubles, Montclair had already secured the victory, proving once again that they are a squad to watch this season.

Statement Win for the Mounties
With another dominant showing, Montclair continues to make waves early in the season. Their depth, skill, and ability to close out matches have them looking like a serious contender. If this momentum continues, the rest of the conference should take notice—Montclair is here to win.
