On Saturday February 3rd the boys and girls track, and field teams travelled to Toms River, NJ to compete in the North 1 Group 4 State Sectional Championships. where the girls team finished 3rd and the boys' 8th. The girls' team was led by Corinne Stewart's individual championship in the 800m with strong follow up points from Ashley Noel (2nd in the 55m), Darriel Whiting (3rd in the 55m), Avery McAdams (3rd in the 1600m & 4th in the 3200m), Tori Robinson (2nd in the shot put) and the girls 4x400, of Stewart, Noel, Leannah Jordan and Maya Kim, 3rd place finish.

On the boys' side the team leader was senior Sean Overton who finished 3rd in the 1600m and 6th in the 3200. Due to placing in the top 6 of these athletes have qualified for the Group 4 championships that will take place in Toms River on February 17th where they will look to qualify for the NJSIAA Meet of Champions.
