The Montclair High School Boys Swim team ended the 2023-24 season with a 7-4 record led by senior captains Eli Muldoon, and Sam Safirstein. They went 3-3 in their division and had a very impressive home record of 4-1. Some of the team’s wins were close, but some were not as the team put up multiple dominant performances this season. They beat Fair Lawn in their first round of states but lost in the Quarterfinals to Morristown. They had notable wins against three rival schools in Verona by 89, Glen Ridge by 103, and our cross-town rivals Mka by 97. Head coach Ed Koenigsfest coached this young team to a successful season, as they only had the two aforementioned seniors Eli Muldoon, and Sam Safirstein, meaning the next couple of seasons will deliver promising results. This impressive season would not have been possible without Eli Muldoon, as he consistently won his events and led the team to victories. The future is also in safe hands with junior Troy Dibble, sophomore Finn Tobin, and sophomore Ari Glassman, who have all won multiple races and consistently find themselves finishing in the top three. With this being said, we are excited to see what the upcoming season has in store for us and how they improve.
