In a triple-overtime battle for the ages, Montclair fell just short in their home opener, with Bloomfield pulling out an 83-76 victory. Despite the tough loss, Montclair’s effort and resilience were on full display, pushing Bloomfield to the limit.

La’Mear Singletary was a standout, leading Montclair with an impressive 24 points, and keeping the team in the game with his relentless scoring. Mason Determann added 21 points, coming up big in key moments to keep Montclair’s hopes alive. Martin Quiros chipped in with 8 points and 9 rebounds, providing solid support on both ends of the floor.

Bloomfield’s Davieon McClain was the difference-maker, finishing with 26 points, as Bloomfield narrowly escaped with the win. Despite the outcome, Montclair’s grit and determination shone through, showing they’re a team to be reckoned with this season. With performances like this, Montclair is poised for a strong bounce-back.
