The Montclair Kimberley Cougars defeated the Montclair Mounties 4-2 in a tightly contested game on Friday afternoon.

After a scoreless first period, MKA opened the scoring early in the second. Montclair senior Anders Jenkins tied the game at 1-1 early in the third period, but the Cougars responded with two quick goals to take a 3-1 lead with seven minutes remaining.

Junior Hannah Rosenheck gave the Mounties hope with a late goal to cut the deficit to 3-2, but MKA sealed the win with an empty-netter in the final 30 seconds. Montclair drops to 6-6 on the season, while MKA improves to 6-3-2.
